Hasyim explained that the related rules have been outlined in the draft KPU regulations (RPKPU) Article 19. He hopes that this clarification will provide clarity to the public. “So it’s clear which path to take, whether to become a regional head candidate or continue as a member of the DPR, DPD,” said Hasyim. If they still want to participate in the 2024 Pilkada, Hasyim asks the elected candidates in the 2024 Election to submit their resignation letters to the KPU no later than 5 days after being determined as regional head candidates. “A certificate stating that the resignation letter is being processed by the relevant KPU official should be submitted,” Hasyim emphasized.

**PKS: 2 Coalitions in Jakarta Pilkada More Attractive, Higher Chance of Winning** PKS spokesperson Pipin Sopian mentioned that the party prefers having two coalitions in the 2024 Jakarta Pilgub. This is because the chances of winning are higher as the election will not go to two rounds. “Yes, actually, two or three coalitions are interesting. For us, two coalitions are more attractive; our chances of winning are higher. If there are three coalitions, it could go to two rounds, which we are also considering,” said Pipin at the Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday. Pipin mentioned that the possibility of forming a new coalition for the Jakarta Pilgub is still open. However, this must be discussed with other political parties. “All these possibilities exist, and we are just one party among many, so we need to talk together,” he stated.

Burhanuddin said the Central Sulawesi Pilkada is only about 5 months away. However, he stated, if there is no change in the socialization pattern in the remaining time, Ahmad Ali’s chances of winning are more open. “The direct election is still about 5 months away, but if there is no change in the socialization pattern in the remaining time, then Ahmad Ali has the greatest likelihood of becoming the winner in the direct election for the Governor of Central Sulawesi on November 27, 2024,” he explained.

It is known that the survey was conducted during the period of June 13-20, 2024. The survey population includes all Indonesian citizens in Central Sulawesi who have the right to vote in the general election, i.e., those who are 17 years old or older, or are already married when the survey was conducted. Sample selection was done using the multistage random sampling method. The survey sample size was 1,200 people. Assuming a simple random sampling method, the sample size of 1,200 respondents has a margin of error (MoE) of ± 2.9% at a 95% confidence level. The sample was proportionally distributed across all districts/cities in Central Sulawesi.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chairperson Eriko Sotarduga proposed that if their party partners with PKB to nominate Anies Baswedan in the Jakarta Pilkada, they would offer the gubernatorial seat in East Java to PDIP. “For instance, in Jakarta, if PKB is the gubernatorial candidate, may PDIP be the gubernatorial candidate in East Java? Sure, it’s not a trade, but that’s what cooperation means, we can’t achieve everything on our own, we must work together,” stated Eriko at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on June 25, 2024.

Hasyim also reasoned that increasing the number of voters per TPS would simplify data entry by merging voters from two TPS into one. “The figure of 600 is aimed at making it easier to design the number of TPS, thus facilitating regrouping or data collection since two TPS become one,” he assured.

In Central Sulawesi, he said, besides economic issues that are also a national leadership concern, such as the prices of basic necessities and job availability, infrastructure conditions are also a major focus for residents, particularly damaged roads, frequent power outages, and clean water availability. “The closer the candidate is perceived by residents as a solution to existing problems, the greater their chances of being elected,” he said.

This decision is motivated by his resolve to provide a fresh option, presenting a different vision and experience to the Banten community, outside the long-standing dominant dynasty in the region. Arief Wismansyah’s leadership in Tangerang has been recognized for creativity in city management and comprehensive infrastructure improvements, creating a strong foundation to advance Banten. In this context, he is dedicated to championing social fairness, sustainable growth, and equitable development throughout Banten. Arief shared his willingness to face the challenges of the Banten Pilkada with a vision focused on positive change and advancement for all community members. He shared that his decision to run was initially unintended, but the encouragement from the community and his family made him think again. He stated that a meeting with VP Ma’ruf Amin significantly affected his decision to run. “I was invited by VP Ma’ruf Amin, and we had a meeting. He asked, are you really running, Mr. Arief? If you want to run, you have to win; if you’re not sure you can win, don’t run, he said. I believed he was correct. Ultimately, on Monday afternoon, I decided to run,” Arief said when interviewed in the Karawaci area of Tangerang City, Sunday. Arief also conveyed his views on the ruling political family in Banten, noting the split in the community related to this dominance. Nevertheless, he is optimistic about contending with renowned contenders in the region. “I hope to partner with the people of Banten to develop jointly, including with the existing dynasties,” he added. Arief highlighted his willingness to cooperate with various parties for the progress of Banten, without neglecting the interests of the people. “Whatever the outcome, I hope the next leadership can deliver the best for Banten,” he concluded. With this step, Arief Rachadiono Wismansyah asks the people of Banten to back a shared vision in developing the region through the upcoming election.
